In Indian culture close friends are often addressed familially, as in the South of the US. Your parents' friends are "aunt" and "uncle", and your friends are "brother" and "sister". Shortly after this picture I was told by this girl's father, a non-English speaker, "no uncle".
The dancing continues in a temple, now with children.
